MY SUMMARY: Clary has to go to Alicante (the City of Glass) to meet with a warlock name Ragnor Fell in order to save her mother but to what cost… Mean while Jace does not like the idea of Clary going Alicante because he fear how the clave will react or use Clary’s talent.  Apparently Jace is not the only one who does not want them to arrive in Idris when the Lightwood  household and Simon get attack near the portal.  What further plans does Valentine have for Shadowhunters and Downworlde’s?  Can they join up as a team to save Idris and the human world?

MY REVIEW:  Again I could not put this book down.  Each time I wanted to end a chapter their were more questions and twists within its pages. At the end I was not disappointed how the author choice to end this part of the series.  That good concurred evil.

In the end Valentine became more clearer in the end.  He was always seemed to be a very complex character and at times you could not figure him out. That all of his behaviors in the past came together to form the outcome in the future.  Particularly how Jace was involved without even knowing it.  As well as why Jace and Clary were so drawn to each other from the very beginning.

Also everything turns out good for Simon.  I would of not like Clary loosing her only friend.  Over all he has been through a lot from turning into a rat and then becoming a Vampire.  It was nice to read that he was able to fit in some where and live the life he always wanted.
