MY SUMMARY:  Lady Lydia is still coming in to terms with the death of her husband Captain Gale when a prisoner seeks her help in being released from English prison.  Due to her choice she is mixed up with some dark characters will she be able to solve the mystery before it ruins her families reputation.  In the mix of it all she learns trust, faith and love.

MY REVIEW:  This was a slow moving book.  It took me a while to read and I kept on going back to it while reading other more fast pass fictions.  So my memory of the story line is mix in with other fictions.  The author tried to get the reader into English society of 1812 and how one false decision could cause a women and her family their reputation.  How really complex it was?  In the mix of it all how men could gain power and destroy a family by understanding those rules.

If you are looking for a fast read this is not it.  But if you want to read a interesting historical novel this is a good read.  The book was labeled christian and their was not a lot of religious aspect in the book until the very end.  So if you do not like christian fiction this book should not be a problem for you.
