SERIES SUMMARY: What would Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes be like in todays world with our advance technology and science. This BBC series asked that very question. They have placed the well known detective in the 21st century and in the end created a character that audiences love with his smart remarks, brilliant mine and way of thinking that drives most of the other characters crazy. In the end solves the mystery.
In 2014 they have even gone further. They killed Sherlock in the end of season 2 and by season 3 brings him back. Within the season he has to deal with the marriage of his best friend (Mr.Watson) and kind of sort of has a girlfriend. Then they finish season 3 by leaving the audience with another surprise Sherlock is not the only one who is coming back from the grave.

A scandal in Belgravia | The Hounds of Baskerville | The Reichenbach Fall

MY REVIEW: As the states were getting closer to the showing of the new season we got little glimpse of what was coming a head. I got really excited when the advertisement appeared that he was coming back and when they aired the mini-episode “Many Happy Returns”.
Since the last episode of this season aired I found my self have mix feelings (hate it vs. Love it) with this years season. I found the mini episode had more connection with the last two season then the present episodes. At times I felt they were more focus on the personal lives of Watson and Sherlock or asking what if sherlock was the best man or what he would be like if he had a girl friend then the actual cases that we all loved. At the end I felt like I wanted to see more cases and witnessing Sherlock’s genius & wit.
