MY REVIEW: Something Strange and Deadly leaves Eleanor alone with her thoughts, the destruction that the dead caused her and the city of Philadelphia. She is tormented what she witnessed and the lost of her brother Elijah; especially how he was involved.
She has become isolated from society and has no family. The only family left is a mother that has completely lost her mine after finding out the truth of Elijah death. Elenor has no choice but to send her to an asylum. But with no money and social connections, she has to sale all her worldly processions. In the mix of it all she finds herself being chased by Marcus and the Hell Hounds. The hell hounds are huge dogs who gather up spirits to be taken back to the land of the dead. Philadelphia becomes a dangerous place for her so she decides to travel across the world to France to be with the people who really care about her, the Spirit Hunters. Once in France she finds a new battle to fight, enemies to destroy and a gift that can either control her or she controls. But to what cost will this gift cause her? Will she loose everything and everyone in the end?
I could not put this book down. I was not tempted to read this book. I am not a big fan of the walking dead. But I enjoyed the first book of this series, I decided to give it another try. I am glad I did there were so many twist and turns, the plot was always changing. There is action, mystery, romance and lies throughout its pages. So no matter what kind of reader you are it will hold your interest.
