MY REVIEW:  Well adaptation of the Regency period and novel of that time.  I could not put this book down.  Along with the main character Margaret you get an insight of what it was like to be a servant during the regency period. Where secrets were hidden and gossiped among the home staff.  There were so many twist and turn that it would keep any reader entertained to the very end.   Margaret finds that she pre-judge several people and in the end becomes a better person and mistress caused by her situation and experiences.   It is a great book to look in the site or step in other(s) shoe. To not easily judge others because you never know what one has to deal with or what their life is like.

If you love watching the series Downton Abbey or Upstairs Down stairs I would suggest for you to read this book.
